Vaporizer Pipes are they Being Replaced?

Herbs and other plant substances contain flavors, oils, and other compounds. For example nicotine is present in tobacco and in herbs like mint and in many other ingredients. One way of consuming these compounds is by burning the substance and inhaling the smoke which is produced from it.

But smoking has its own disadvantages like it creates carcinogens and toxic tars which are extremely harmful to health. Another method of consumption is by inhaling the vapors of these compounds.

Vaporization is a process in which the desired compound is heated and converted into vapor form which can then be inhaled. It is just like boiling, except for the substance here is solid and not liquid in most of the cases.

Around 225-380 degrees Fahrenheit is typically needed to vaporize these compounds. And since this is much less than burning, the undesirable and toxic substances are not created as they are in the case of burning. It is like releasing the desirable stuff from the substance leaving waste behind!

There are a number of ways devised for the process of vaporization to happen effectively. One of the easiest and extremely hassle free ways is by using a vaporizer pipe. One can make his/her own vaporizer pipe or can buy it from manufacturers who make them professionally.

The pipe is first loaded with the substance which is to be vaporized for inhaling. There are mechanisms that protect the substance from burning. The substance which is loaded should be grinded and should remain loose.

The most important part of the vaporization process is the temperature. The temperature in a pipe can be varied and made ideal by adjusting the rate of inhalation and the amount of heat (flame or electronic) which is used. An expert can easily make out the temperature by the flavor of the vapors and the heat inhaled.

The heating process involves the use of flame as the source or electricity. The electronic vaporizer pipes (portable vaporizers) are much cleaner but the pipes using flame is more portable and can be carried around.

Also, the electronic versions of the vaporizer pipes are expensive for many to afford. The flame pipes are a better choice for people who are starting with the use of pipes owing to their cost mainly.

The vaporizer pipes can be made from a number of materials like wood and clay for the traditional ones and plastic in the newer ones (brass is also used). Although, most of the users still prefer the wooden and clay pipes.

The pipes need regular cleaning. Although, the newer designs do not get clogged easily, the cleaning is a good habit for the users both for hygiene and pipe’s maintenance.
